Job Summary:

Work cooperatively in a team environment to develop robust manufacturing processes to support the Company's growth in the aerospace, defense and industrial casting markets. Identify problems, generate alternatives, and implement solutions to problems that affect yield, rework and overall quality of the product.

Barron Industries is a fast-growing manufacturer of investment castings, precision machined components and complete assemblies. We are expanding our manufacturing facilities and adding a 2nd and 3rd shift to meet the demand from our customers in the aerospace, defense, oil and gas and other commercial industries.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interpret customer specifications and implement internal functions in accordance with ISO 9001/AS9100 and NADCAP requirements
  • Respond to input from the Quality and Engineering Manager
  • Review all incoming purchase orders and contracts
  • Prepare Process Routing Control Plans for all new orders using a cross-functional team approach
  • Develop enhanced/modified routing information as necessary in response to continuous improvement suggestions, supervisor input or customer change requests
  • Maintain document control for all job files an customer-supplied data (prints, models, specs)
  • Liaison with customer personnel including design engineering teams
  • Place tooling orders for wax pattern molds and job specific fixtures and gages
  • Identify, evaluate and implement new process technologies that will extend manufacturing and product capabilities
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure organization objectives are achieved

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Engineering preferred and a minimum of 5 years experience in metal parts manufacturing
  • Good communication, organization, prioritization and presentation skills
  • 5 years experience in Investment Casting Process/Product Engineering preferred
  • Able to interpret customer drawings and models
  • Good computer skills (Word Processing, spreadsheets and CAD)
